I’m drinking the non-alcoholic Sea Arch Gin neat while writing this and even though it has been a minute or so between sips, the lingering burn between sips is a welcome addition, lets find out more about this UK distilled option!

The alcohol free Sea Arch Gin comes in at 8/10 due to the way it balances its bold juniper driven profile with a spiced warmth from cardamon, crisp & clean notes from coriander & a bright marine freshness. All of this is wrapped up with a mouth filling heat that lingers between mouthfuls when enjoyed neat.

Sea Arch Gin Taste

The Sea Arch Coastal Juniper non-alcoholic gin is, in a few words, crisp and complex. Each time you taste this you’re going to find an array of flavours that all play off each other and are perfectly suited to be matched with a tonic and slice of citrus.

So what are the flavours you’re going to find in the Costal Juniper from Sea Arch? Well, with each pour you’re going to find that each mouthful is going to be built around a profile that has a:

  • citrus led profile based in bold Juniper;
  • crisp and clean freshness from coriander;
  • spiced warmth from cardamon;
  • beautiful marine freshness from sea kelp;
  • building and lingering heat that comes in between mouthfuls.

What I Like

Things to Consider

The marine notes of freshness. It is amazing how it simply just works! If you’re coming from traditional alcoholic gin, you are naturally going to be missing that ‘burn’ from alcohol.
The way the herbaceous notes flow across your mouth well after you’re done enjoying the drink. The body is light and not as weighted as other options.

Who Would Enjoy The Sea Arch Gin?

As a whole, the Sea Arch gin will suit you as a non-alcoholic drinker or as someone looking for a lower alcohol alternative alike provided you enjoy bright juniper notes and are open to a crisp marine freshness.

I would say that if you’re not so keen on those fresh and bright flavours and are looking for something a little warmer and rounder there are other options out there (think Brunswick Aces Hearts Sapiir) that will get you over the line. But if you’re looking for a twist on a traditional juniper led option you’re in the right spot.

If you are looking to try a couple of other options, I’ve put some similar as well as some distinct options for you down below.

  • Sea Drift Coast – Similar profiled with beautiful marine notes.
  • Lyre’s Dry London Gin – The Lyre’s take on the classic style gin.
  • Brunswick Aces Spades Sapiir – Aces dive right into a traditional-style gin.
  • Banks & Burbidge Gin – Soft & floral with a weighted body.

When to Drink Sea Arch Non-Alcoholic Gin

The Sea Arch gin is a great evening drink to wind down with, the taste profile lends itself equally to drinking neat over ice or with a great quality tonic and a twist of citrus.

Personally, I think the lighter bodyweight means this non-alcoholic gin from Sea Arch is best placed mixed with a great tonic and a fresh peel from your favourite piece of citrus fruit. As I’m writing this, another great use that springs to mind is, in a low or no alcohol lemon martini.

You can see it now, right? 50ml of Sea Arch, vermouth (non-alc or regular), lemon juice, lemon peel – amazing!

The Wrap Up: Final Thoughts

All in all, the fact the Sea Arch gin is a non-alcoholic option that is really big on flavour makes it a great option when you’re looking to reach for something that is refined, flavourful and adult tasting.

Like I mentioned in the wrap up of what I like, I am a big fan of the way the flavour profile keeps on giving and lingers in your mouth along with the subtle heat that comes with each mouthful.

Overall if you’re looking for a modern-day twist on a classic juniper profile this might be one to consider. I enjoy it and due to the way, its flavour profile compliments tonic I reach for it when I’ve got a night where my glass isn’t full of something new to write up!

Take from that what you will however at 8/10 if you’re looking to get your hands on a bottle, the links are down below for you to check current prices.
