I’m so excited! The Vinada Airen Review is finally here. The Airen is the latest in the Vinada range to land on Australian shores and after making my way through a whole bottle its time to put my thoughts to paper.
The Vinada Airen is quite simply an amazing non-alcoholic sparkling. Each glass of Airen is full of a:

What Does Vinada Airen Taste Like?
In each glass of the Vinada Airen, you will likely find flavours of apple, melon with hints of peach and fruity sweetness, a full body and a creamy finish that leaves you with a tasty dry finish.
The flavour profile of the Airen is beautifully balanced as it:
- Opens with sweetness from fruity flavours.
- Builds into a soft, smooth body.
- Finishing with a creamy and lightly sweet finish.
To get the most out of this one, reach for your champagne flutes and be sure to drink it at between 6 – 8 degrees, to really get the most out of the flavour profile.
The more I drink this the more I start to feel there is some sweetness in it compared to the Crispy Chardonnay however everyone I have been sharing it around with assures me, I’m being picky and it is no sweeter than a similar profiled alcoholic sparkling wine.

Who Would Like Vinada Airen?
If you are someone who enjoyed the sparkling chardonnay from Vinada or enjoys a well-bodied sparkling, then this is a non-alcoholic sparkling for you.
Even with the hint of sweetness, you’re going to find a great creamy mouthfeel and a dry and crisp finish.
Overall this is a sparkling that would suit all but the hardest and fast Extra Brut drinkers.
I feel like things have progressed so far from the time I wrote about my favourite non-alcoholic sparkling wines. However, if you’re looking for other options to compliment your Vinada trio give it a read for some new options.

When to Drink Vinada Airen.
Whether you’re celebrating a big milestone, the arrival of a new bub or the end of the workweek. The Airen can do it all, honestly, this sparkling is really quite remarkable.
The team over at Vinada suggest this is perfect as an aperitif, with salads and desserts. I tend to agree with them that it would go remarkably well with cheese.
The Vinada Range is one of the few (along with the Barton & Guestier and Oddbird) sparkling wines that would go well on their own without food.
So if you’re looking to celebrate any occasion or just looking for a reason to hear that ‘pop’ keep your fridge shelves stacked for any time of the day or night you feel like some Amazing Airen!
What is the Sparkling Made With??
As the name suggests, the Airen is made with the most commonly planted grape in Spain, the Airen grape variety. For the Vinada Airen, the grapes are harvested from the La Mancha winemaking region in Spain.
Interestingly, the La Mancha winemaking region is the largest winemaking region not only in Spain but also in Europe.
It is impressive to see long lost grape varieties that have been bumped from modern-day wines (Airen & Verdejo) making a resurgence in a big way.
It is exciting to see Vinada doing great things with a staple grape variety and bringing awareness to the amazing grapes out there.
The Round Up: Final Thoughts
I know what you’re thinking. I’ve said only positive things about the Vinada Chardonnay, Vinada Rose and now this Vinada Airen Gold.
But as you know, I’m all about calling a spade a spade and in this instance, Vinada has consistently crafted world-class non-alcoholic wines that give all other options a run for their money.
In terms of other options that stack up to the Vinada range, personally, I love the:
- Barton & Guestier; and
- Oddbird
